New York Yankees Throw A Rod!
The costs to see a Major League Sports Competition is getting to be too high and as the United States dollar slips to all time lows, it is much harder on a family to frequent these events. Many fans are upset that their tickets cost so much and they realize that a percentage of the tickets that they pay for goes to the athletes, many of which are obviously worth seeing.
At some point however, there comes a time when the cost of tickets becomes a factor of the reality of supply and demand. Is A-Rod overstepping his bounds on bowing out of his contract a year early on advice of a Talent Lawyer? How many other players will attempt to follow? How are fans going to justify paying those ticket prices to watch him? How many fans see this move a extortion?
Should fans boycott? Some say yes, others say, if they do, that will lower ticket prices, so that is good. Are professional athletes paid too much money, what is the right amount, how can we be sure? Each year new records are broken as to the most highly paid athletes, much higher than inflation, are they really worth that much? Apparently the free market says they are, because teams continue to pay more and more for them.
For now it appears that the New York Yankees, they are telling A-Rod that, he can walk and walk he may, if a deal cannot be worked out soon. Will this mean a different team picks up A-Rod, if they do, some how it just will not seem right seeing him in a different jersey.

New York Yankees: 2006 Baseball Betting Season
The Yankees are a team you just do not bet on. There is so much public attention given to them and so much hype that betting on them has very little value.Over the past 7 years, these Yankees are a 60% club but -60 units. They win their games but because of the juice cost their backers the bank when they lose. They had their worst season in 2005 getting only 97 wins. They were also dissapointed in the Baseball Playoffs but what else is new.It is ...
Boston Massacre, Part Deux
The New York Yankees finished up their dismantling of the Boston Red Sox by beating them 2-1 Monday afternoon. Even a solid performance from the oft-injured David Wells couldnt keep the Bo-sox from being swept by their rivals. The game ended withThe Yankees dominated the Red Sox in the series, outscoring Boston 49-26. The Bombers bullpen, while not spectacular, was still enough against the despicable performance of the entire Sox pitching staf...
Yankee Gauntlet Comes to a Close
The New York Yankees have finally finished their 21 game in 20 day gauntlet, as the stretch ended just as it started: with Alex Rodriguez struggling. I really feel that Id be beating a dead horse if I went on and on about how abysmal A-Rod has been playing, both in the field and at the plate; Ill spare him and you all and just say that the guy hasnt been playing nearly as well as hes capable of. All of this poor play can be easily erased if A-Rod...
