Merry Christmas and to Hell With Political Correctness
Happy Holidays? How lame does that sound!
Rejoice! This is Christmas. The season for celebrating the birth of Christ.
Unfortunately in some parts of the world, the thought police are trying to hijack the meaning of Christmas. Loony political correctness, in its insane quest to turn the world into one big generic homogenous blob without any interest, humour, culture or free expression is campaigning to remove any reference to Christ from Christmas. Yes, thats a bit like removing any reference to Apple from Apple Pie or America from The United States of America.
Christmas is about Christ! No ifs, buts or maybes. If you are Muslim and don\'t like it, tough! If you are Agnostic and don\'t like it, tough! If you are Buddhist, Hindu, Dolphin, Monkey, Martian or anything else with non-Christian beliefs and don\'t agree that Christmas is about Christ -- TOUGH!
We Don\'t Care!
Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th December every year. The celebrated day and the customary festive period associated with Christmas is a Christian celebration. Always has been. Always will be.
Christmas is CHRISTmas. It\'s not Santa-mas, Holiday-mas, Mohammed-mas, Buddha-mas, Prezzy-mas or any other something irrelevant-mas. It\'s CHRISTMAS.
There is a reason for that.
Christmas is for Christians. Christmas is about Christianity. Christmas is about Jesus Christ.
If you are sick of political correctness undermining the core of Christian societies and would like to stand up against the campaign against Christmas, I recommend you support Operation: Just Say Merry Christmas.
Operation: Just Say Merry Christmas is a campaign designed to encourage Christians around the world to PROUDLY proclaim The Christ Child as the center of the Christmas Season once again.
Of course there are more immediate methods available to you. For instance next time someone wishes you a \"Happy Holidays\", respond with a hearty \"Merry Christmas\". Send Christmas cards that feature Nativity scenes. Do not support businesses that are denying references to Christ in their Christmas advertising and promotions. Tell them something like \"I usually shop at this store, but as a Christian celebrating the birth of Christ I will be spending my money this season at XYZ, because they have a lovely Nativity Scene in their foyer and the denial of Christ at this store offends me\" Vote with your feet!
If political correctness is all about not offending anybody then make it clear that YOU ARE OFFENDED. It cuts both ways.
Enjoy the celebration of the birth of Christ openly and with pride.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
